This project is created using a children's instant print check camera, which produces photographs in the same way our brain generates memories: they are blurry, fragmented, and only the main object is discernible.
Over time, each photograph gradually fades, and at a certain point, the object becomes indistinguishable.
The only way to preserve the photograph is by scanning it, but even in the few days before scanning, the image manages to fade slightly.
Thus, this photo project illustrates the fragility and ephemerality of memory, emphasizing its tendency to degrade and disappear over time.
The use of a children's instant camera symbolizes the simplicity and transience of our memories, their vulnerability to the effects of time and circumstances. Each photograph becomes a document that captures not only the moment but also the process of its gradual disappearance, making them unique artifacts of human experience.
The project raises questions about the nature of memory, its preservation, and loss, inviting reflection on the value of each moment and the importance of preserving and documenting personal history despite the inevitable effects of time.
